Join the Asian Studies Program for Piotr Gibas' sabbatical talk!

Buddhism is one of greatest and oldest religions with millions of followers all over the world, but did it influence the way people eat? The Buddha taught freedom from appetite and Buddhist practitioners often repeat the mantra that one should eat to live, not live to eat. What do Buddhists really eat, or does it even matter? Is there such a thing as “Buddhist cuisine”? What are the Buddhist foodways? In search for answers, Gibas set out on a year long trip across Asia and he will present his findings in this talk.
