The Milton and Freddie Kronsberg Memorial Lecture Series presents "Jews on Campus: One Hundred Years of Antisemitism and Acceptance," with journalist, podcaster, author and professor Mark Oppenheimer.

In 1919, Columbia University became the first American college to strategize to limit Jewish enrollment. In the century since, Jews have seen American campuses as both the most accepting of institutions, the reliable pathway to the American dream and as sites of occasional hostility – and everything in between. Jewish campus life has been affected by the civil rights movement, the Cold War, the space race and the DEI movement. Now, with the question of Jewish acceptance in the news again, come learn about the role of universities in the past century of American Jewish life.
