Ash Williams, a Black trans philosopher, abolitionist community organizer from Fayetteville, North Carolina, provides abortion and death care, known as doula work. He vigorously fights to expand abortion access by funding procedures and training new doulas. Ash was the Decriminalizing Abortion resident with Project NIA, a grassroots organization that worked to end the arrest, detention and incarceration of children and young adults by promoting restorative and transformative justice practices. He now runs an international abortion doula training (ADT).

In this conversation, Ash will share his journey into anti-carceral and reproductive justice organizing, the work he does today and his thoughts about the current context.
