About this Event
Free Event"Authenticity" has become America's unofficial religion and influences our entertainment media, electoral politics and consumer culture. But authenticity is not actually real - it's created behind the scenes to speak to a divided America. Does this promotion of “authenticity” reaffirm our humanity or further our disunity? This discussion will feature Michael Serazio, a journalist and professor of communciation at Boston College, who studies media production, advertising, popular culture and political communication. The School of Business - Think Differently Forum and the Civility Initiative are co-sponsors of this event.
