##blackhistorymonthThe Department of History's Annual Black History Month Lecture will be presented by associate professor Shannon C. Eaves, the author of Sexual Violence and American Slavery: The Making of a Rape Culture in the Antebellum South and the College of Charleston's 2025 Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award Recipient, an honor bestowed upon her by the Black History Intercollegiate Consortium.
Following the event, there will be a reception in the SSMB atrium. This event is free and open to the public.
