College of Charleston students are invited to a panel discussion sponsored by the Center for Historical Landscapes and moderated by Classics Professor Jim Newhard (archaeologist and director for the Center for Historical Landscapes). 

This conversation will explore the complex history of the site, the pressing need for additional residence hall space on campus, examples of similar projects in Charleston and the wide range of perspectives on development of this property. The panel will also provide time for questions about the project. 

The voice and participation of CofC students is essential as the College considers how best to balance respect for history with the College’s responsibility to meet the needs of future students.
