This session is considered our "700-mile program"

If you live 700 miles or more from Charleston, you are welcome to attend any of the June or July freshman orientations, but you are eligible to attend an orientation session on August 14 and 15, which is designed especially for you. There are a limited number of seats available that we will reserve on a first-come, first-served basis. 
 

Freshman students attending the Orientation session on August 14 and 15 will have a required virtual advising and registration session on July 23.  If you are not able to attend this virtual session, a partial fall semester schedule will be created for you, and you can complete your course registration when you will attend an in-person advising and registration session during orientation.

Because we cannot accommodate all students who live 700 miles or more from the campus in this one session, we encourage you to attend an earlier orientation session if you possibly can.

If you are participating in sorority recruitment or Summer Preview, you will not be able to attend the August 14 and 15 session.
